Pick-up at your accommodation and transfer to the Rum Museum in Old Havana, where you will take a guided tour starting at the cooperage workshop, where white oak barrels are made.
Next, the rum-making process will be explained, from the planting of sugar cane to the ageing of the drink, including the history of the ‘trapiche’ (sugar mill), the factories, the steam train and the fermentation, distillation and filtration processes.
This will be followed by a cocktail class with an exquisite and varied tasting of the most iconic Cuban rums and the combination of liquor with tobacco and coffee.
Later, you will visit the Floridita, an iconic cocktail bar where you can enjoy the best daiquiri, and the Bodeguita del Medio, famous for its mojitos.
Finally, a typical Cuban lunch will be served at the Kilometro Zero restaurant, located a few metres from the Capitolio in Havana.
