Located in Sagua la Grande, near the north coast of the island, in the northern plain of Villa Clara. City founded on December 8, 1812, with a great patrimonial value and with a Historic Center declared a National Monument, made up of a significant number of high-value exponent buildings and framed in different times, showing a coherent image, characterized by the predominance of the neoclassical, eclectic and traditional styles, their integrity and the few modern exponents. It also stands out for being the cradle of illustrious Cubans of science and culture such as Joaquín Albarrán, Wifredo Lam, Antonio Machín, Alfredo Sosabravo, among others.
 
The building built in 1918, considered among the seven most important works of architecture in the province of Villa Clara, is one of the few exponents with a high influence of Art Nouveau in the region.
