The Meseta de Pinares de Mayari is located within the Sierra de Nipe geographical complex, more than 700 m above sea level with its highest point in the Loma de la Mensura (995 m SNM), located in the northeast mountains of the eastern part of Cuba. Its total area is 318.8 km2.
The biodiversity of the fauna, represented by the report of more than 90 species of birds with 21 endemic Cubans, makes Villa Pinares de Mayarí, a special place for nature lovers.
